I
have many more rituals to share, covering a
variety of sabbats, passages, and esbat work.
They range in complexity from simple to complex,
and from small group or private work to public
ritual.
As
both Ostara (Eostar) and Beltaine are fast approaching,
I am going to try to get some examples of those
posted soon. I am also going to post samples
of handfasting and wiccaning (saining).
I
have posted an Imbolc
ritual I wrote in 1999, and have used once
since then. It follows the standard format and
cast of the West Coast Eclectic Tradition, which
is the primary tradition in which I am trained.
I like this particular ritual because it incorporates
a lot of poetry, work for fertility, and the
wonderful story of the Year Child. I am grateful
to Starhawk
for her book, the Spiral
Dance, one of my early influences and the
inspiration for my telling of the story. The
High Priest has the major speaking role in this
ritual only because I was writing and leading
this as part of my training. It is certainly
up to any ritualist who chooses to use or adapt
this work for themselves how they want to parcel
out the spoken portions.
I
have posted a very simple Passing
Over ritual, which I distilled from some
rituals in our coven Book of Shadows. I had
prepared it to help a family faced with the
death of a member who was Wiccan, and the rest
of the family wasn't, but they wanted to honour
him in the fashion of his spiritual path.
I
have also posted a simple Home
Blessing ritual, with a very basic circle
cast, intended to bless the home of someone
who is ill. It is particularly good for those
whos family may not be Pagan, or for working
across traditions (ie: non-denominational).
Here is the commanding
version of a quarter call. Elementals are not so much beings
as energy forms, so it is appropriate to command, rather
than request their presence when evoking. Do not do this
when invoking (calling into yourself). Inviting another
energy form into yourself after potentially annoying it
is just a bad idea.

Here is the quarter
call I wrote for the Ritual of the Fates. It is Greek in
its influence. I believe, based on some later correspondence,
that I may have gotten the name of the East Wind wrong,
and Aeolus may be a separate entity who is Lord of the Winds.
I will check into that, post my findings here, and correct
the call text if need be.

Come you now, Aeolus, Lord of all the Winds.

OK,
my bad. It looks like Aeolus would be the Center, Lord of
all the Winds. I looked these up years ago, and never found
Euros (Eurus). Wish I had that website then - I went to
Page One and scanned some greek mythology books and a greek-english
dictionary and spent a couple of hours to find the names
I did. Glad to have this info now! I've bookmarked the website.
>From the
website: http://www.theoi.com/Kronos/Aiolos.html
AIOLOS (Latin:
Aeolus) was the divine keeper of the Storm-Winds (Anemoi).
He kept these violent sons of Typhoeus locked away inside
his island of Aiolia releasing them on the command of the
gods to wreak their havoc upon the world. He also had at
his command the four Wind-Gods - Boreas, Zephyros, Notos
& Euros.
